“The Vortex StrikerFire LDR now features a VAPR twist barrel and has been upgraded to a 1:24? twist. The faster twist rate better stabilizes bullets, increases accuracy, and expands the range of bullet options. The 30? barrel allows for a longer powder burn which translates to increased velocity, better consistency, and improved downrange accuracy.
The Vortek StrikerFire LDR comes equipped with the StrikerFire System. To cock the gun, slide the striker button forward until it locks and the rifle is cocked. The recessed de-cocking buttons allow for quick and quiet de-cocking of the firearm and is automatically equipped with an automatic de-cocking mechanism when the gun is opened, it is automatically de-cocked. Eliminating the external hammer allows for faster locktime, the ability to mount your scope closer to the bore and reduces weight.
The StrikerFire includes the TAC2 Trigger System ? a two stage competition-style trigger. Additional features include the 1-piece Accelerator Breech Plug, Dual Safety System, and Speed Load System. The Quick-T Ramrod functions like a palm saver and t-handle in one, making it easier to load the rifle. The The Quick-T Ramrod Handle has a t-shaped piece with a brass jag that can screw in, allowing your ramrod to function like a work or cleaning rod.
The Vortek StrikerFire LDR weighs 6.5 lbs (non-scoped), making it lighter than some 28? firearms on the market. Drilled and tapped for scope. Does not come with sights or a scope base.
